Fusion Academy offers a one-to-one education model where a single teacher works with one student, providing life-changing educational experiences and supporting both academic potential and emotional and social growth. We are seeking History and English Teachers and Tutors who are passionate about verbs, storytelling, and exploring how language and history illuminate the world.

Your days will look like
:

  • Provide student-centered, supportive classrooms that promote compassion, emotional security, resourcefulness, and independent critical thinking
  • Address individual academic and emotional needs through Fusion's differentiated approach
  • Teach middle and high school students one-to-one in English Composition, Literature, Language Arts, World and U.S. History, Government, and Economics (grades 6-12)
  • Listen to students, peers, and managers to develop meaningful learning journeys
  • Adapt differentiated instruction for all students and foster holistic growth
  • Fuse academic and social-emotional objectives into engaging lessons
  • Foster trust with students, peers, and campus leadership
  • Mentor students to become lifelong learners and leaders
  • Maintain genuine, positive, and consistent parent and teacher communication
  • Contribute to and benefit from the campus community
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and continuous improvement
  • Maintain complete and accurate records of student progress
  • Create a schedule that works for you and your students
  • Bring your best self and be the best you

What you will bring to Fusion

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree and background in English and History

Great to have but not required
:

  • A teaching certification
  • Previous teaching or tutoring experience
  • Experience with learners with differences or ADHD; mentoring experience is a plus

Pay range
: $25.00 – $34.00 per hour USD
