Per Diem position to begin week of January 12, 2026

Perelman Jewish Day School, a Pre‑Kindergarten to 5th Grade independent school in the Philadelphia area, is seeking a motivated team player to join our community as a Substitute Teacher.

• Partner proactively with faculty and administration to support diverse learners in the areas of academic, behavioral, and social/emotional learning
• Collaborate with team members to plan and implement instruction, fostering student curiosity and engagement
• Participate in faculty meetings
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Principal

• Bachelor's degree in Education, or equivalent experience, required
• Strong knowledge of developmental needs of young children and appropriate curricula that meet those needs
• Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Technology skills including:
  Familiarity with Apple products (such as Mac Books and iPads), Chromebooks, projectors, etc…
• High‑energy and enthusiastic about working in the Jewish day school atmosphere

Compensation for this position is $160 per day. This position is on‑call, as needed.
