Description
A Bobtail Driver is responsible for delivering loads of petroleum products to customer locations in a safe, efficient manner, and within a specified window of time, at the direction of dispatch. These deliveries may take place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year, in nearly any kind of weather.
This position has a competitive compensation package including a Quarterly Driver Safety Bonus Program up to $1,500.00.
Position OverviewA Bobtail Driver is responsible for delivering loads of petroleum products to customer locations in a safe, efficient manner, and within a specified window of time, at the direction of dispatch. These deliveries may take place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year, in nearly any kind of weather.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Fills Bobtail truck.
- Delivers bulk quantities to tanks at both residential and commercial sites.
- Perform duties in accordance with local, state, federal regulations along with DDC procedures.
- Responsible for achieving delivery objectives set forth.
- Inspect vehicle daily and report any problems in accordance with company policy and DOT regulations.
- Interpersonal skills and willingness to take direction from dispatcher and management.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Minimum two years applicable driving experience.
- Possess a Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A CDL) with a Haz Mat endorsement and Tanker Endorsement.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- A clean driving records.
- Ability to pass pre-employment DOT physical, drug test and Homeland Security background check.
- Candidates must have a current medical card.
- Fuel or lubricant hauling experience preferred.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and driving conditions.

- Ability to walk, squat, stoop, kneel and bend repeatedly at each delivery location.
- Ability to enter and exit truck cab multiple times throughout the day.
- Ability to climb on top of and inspect top of trailer.
- Ability to regularly pass a DOT physical and maintain FMCSA drug and alcohol standards.
