What Role You Will Play In Our Team- Assist other Lease Operators with operating and inspecting pumping and wellhead equipment among other duties.
- Once employed, a skill assessment coinciding with this description will be assigned that further defines the job duties for progression/promotion purposes.
- Occasionally required to work night shifts, based on operational needs
- Learn to operate and inspect pumping and wellhead equipment.
- Learn basic operation and proper maintenance of gas engines, testers, phase separators, water knock‑outs, heaters and stock tanks, and other on‑site wellhead equipment and compressors.
- Assist with routine maintenance of production equipment, learning to check wellhead compressors.
- Learn to detect oil, water or gas leaks, and broken seals. Also learn proper lockout/tagout procedures.
- Utilize SCADA equipment for well surveillance to optimize production and prevent spills.
- Assist in minor repairs of production equipment.
- Learn to read and record daily numbers from various lease oil and gas measurement equipment.
- Ensure tank thief hatches are securely closed.
- Learn to enter daily production readings, well‑test readings, downtime and run tickets into current electronic systems.
- Learn to advise water haulers when water is ready for pickup and disposal.
- Learn to complete all required paperwork, reports, and to run required reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor, including special projects.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Entry‑level position. No prior experience necessary.
- A current valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
- Able to read and write, including interpretation of pressure gauges and completion of paperwork.
- Basic computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office.
- Strong adaptability skills.
- Eager to learn.
- Basic understanding of how to operate hand tools such as grease guns and wrenches, to lubricate or tighten equipment.
- Regularly required to sit, stand or walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop or bend; and talk or hear.
- Ability to climb a ladder and stairs.
- Drive assigned Company vehicle on unpaved lease roads.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Related oil and gas experience.
- Familiarity with mobile applications.
