Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Aircraft Maintenance/ Mechanic
POSITION SUMMARY
The Lead Mechanic effectively maintains and troubleshoots aircraft systems and provides supervision and guidance to assigned personnel in the maintenance of assigned aircraft.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must have in-depth knowledge of Boeing aircraft. Ability to read, write and interpret technical data and special operating instructions. Good verbal and written skills and leadership ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEThis position requires a high school diploma or GED certificate. Must hold a valid Airframe and Powerplant license. Must have seven (7) or more years of heavy maintenance experience on large commercial aircraft. Recent aircraft maintenance supervisory / lead experience is desired. Maintenance experience on corporate aircraft is also desired.
LANGUAGE ABILITYAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Excellent communication skills with customers and employees.
MATH ABILITYThis position requires the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITYThe ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLSMicrosoft Office; including components of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, Database, inventory, and order processing software.

- May work inside or outside of maintenance hangar.
- This position requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to work various shifts which may include evening and weekend hours.
