- Drive new business growth through proactive prospecting, networking, and relationship building
- Build and nurture long‑term client relationships using a consultative, value‑based sales approach
- Continuously improve hit ratios and closing ratios by refining sales strategies
- Gather detailed risk management and underwriting information to support accurate proposals
- Develop and present professional insurance proposals that reflect client needs and agency value
- Collaborate closely with the service team to ensure smooth transitions from sale to service
- Anticipate future client needs to support renewals, cross‑selling, and account expansion
- Track, analyze, and report on sales performance, revenue metrics, and market trends
- Attend networking events and industry functions to expand presence and opportunities
- Accurately document all sales activity, client interactions, and carrier communications in Hawksoft
- Leverage modern tools, including CRM and AI‑powered platforms, to work smarter not harder
- Minimum 2+ years of sales experience in the insurance industry, specifically property and casualty
- Proven track record of new client acquisition and revenue growth
- Active insurance license(s) or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills
- Tech‑forward mindset with experience using CRM systems and sales tools
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a high‑performance team
- Self‑motivated, goal‑driven, and excited by growth opportunities
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, networking, and industry events
- Preferred (but not required): CIC, CPCU, CRM, AINS, or similar designations, or willingness to obtain
- Freedom from outdated agency models
- Strong operational and service support so you can focus on selling
