Responsibilities
  • Support the primary service and maintenance contacts for Trane Technologies customers in a defined market with a diverse commercial base (Healthcare, Process Manufacturing Facilities, Education Institutions, and Office Complexes).
  • Assist with commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and starting up HVAC systems in a commercial environment.
  • Apply knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts to perform tasks.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners on new facility setups and existing facility retrofits.
  • Leverage opportunities for growth, training, and career paths through Trane as a leading manufacturer.
  • Coordinate with team leader/project manager and customers to understand on-site requirements, forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize work.
  • Represent the company by supporting the Technician who serves as a direct customer contact and by identifying, diagnosing, and repairing equipment and systems at customer locations.
  • Use cutting-edge software, a variety of hand-tools, and blueprints or engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units.
  • Maintain flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed, including occasional overnight stays.
  • Enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability of company assets by recording use, wear, and conditions.
What you will bring
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent, or certificate from an accredited technical school; typically 0-2 years of HVAC experience. Technical school or formal training is preferred.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and working proficiency with a handheld device (e.g., smartphone, iPad).
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license for at least 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations in the past 3 years (examples include DUI, Hit & Run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving, or multiple smaller infractions).
  • Additional Requirements and Environmental Exposure: ability to safely operate a vehicle with seat belt; wear helmets, safety goggles, fall protection harness, and safety boots; twist trunk 90 degrees; squat and touch the floor; reach overhead; stand on concrete for extended periods (up to 4 hours).
  • Physically capable to regularly lift/move up to 10 lbs, frequently up to 40 lbs, and occasionally more than 40 lbs; able to use a ladder with a 375 lb weight limit while carrying equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to access confined spaces and rooftops (15’–20’, occasionally up to 50 feet+).
Compensation and Equal Employment Opportunity
  • Base Pay Range: $20/Hr - $30/Hr. The actual compensation will depend on factors including seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation. Benefits vary by region, business alignment, union involvement, and employee status.
