PACU nursing involves caring for patients who are recovering from surgery, particularly when anesthesia is involved. Once the patient has sufficiently recovered from anesthesia, he/she is typically transferred to the appropriate ward or discharged. PACU nurses provide patient care during the immediate postoperative recovery period, performing basic life support measures, airway management, acute surgical wound care, catheter procedures, and managing anesthesia‑related requirements.
PACU nurses may also be trained in the use of cardiac life support equipment.
Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in operating room or postoperative care. Ability to work 12‑hour rotating shifts. Willingness to travel for 13 weeks.
CompensationPay package is based on 12‑hour shifts. 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
