(Job # 555047) Student Services Professional II, Residence Life Coordinator, CSU Classification Salary Range: $5,083 – $7,228 per month, Anticipated Hiring Salary: $5,083 per month. Final salary placement is commensurate with experience, internal equity, and budget considerations. This is a full‑time, benefited, exempt, 12‑month, permanent position with a one‑year probationary period in the Housing Support Program Department. This position comes with a premium benefits package that includes outstanding vacation, medical, dental, and vision plans, life insurance, voluntary pre‑tax health and dependent care reimbursement accounts, a fee waiver education program, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), and 15 paid holidays per year.

Professional, full‑time, live‑in position in Residence Life. Responsible for student, community, and social justice advocacy within the residence halls; comprehensive oversight of 8 – 21 student leaders, including one Student Assistant, and oversight for learning communities in the Housing & Residence Life areas. This position is responsible for coordinating housing initiatives that foster curricular and co‑curricular engagement among students living on campus.
Involvement with professional associations, university committees, events, and functions is strongly encouraged and supported. Educators interested in working with a socially just, team‑oriented, academically centered, and environmentally responsible organization are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Hire and train Resident Advisors (RA), and Lead Resident Advisor
- Plan and organize ongoing staff training.
- Conduct bi‑annual student staff evaluations.
- Create and oversee duty schedule.
- Monitor job performance through weekly meetings.
- Implement Housing community development model in your area.
- Program tracking and assessment
- Maintain budgets for staff and area councils.
- Maintain a strong and visible community presence in respective areas.
- Support the mission and goals of Residence Life
- Collaborate with campus partners to provide educational and community development programming in the halls
- Review and explain Housing and University policy.
- Hold Community Action Conference promptly to determine responsibility in an incident and issue a finding.
- Complete documentation regarding Community Action Conference findings (letters, database, etc.)
- Attend weekly Residence Life Team meetings, monthly Department meetings, and other meetings as needed.
