Facility Technician

Transdev in Arcadia, CA is hiring a Facility Technician. The Facility Technician is required to perform routine facilities maintenance duties such as painting, plumbing, landscaping, and other related assignments.

CBA Position

Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Compensation
  • Competitive compensation package of minimum $23.69 / hour
Benefits
  • Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs routine facilities maintenance duties such as painting, plumbing, carpentry, and other related assignments.
  • Performs routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Performs non-routine repairs to equipment.
  • Oversees the work of repair and maintenance vendors.

Uses tools and operate equipment needed to perform job functions; equipment includes power tools, forklifts, scissor lift, and floor scrubbers.

Assists with cleaning trucks, equipment, and grounds.

Assists with moving furniture and equipment.

Qualifications

Preferred 2 to 3 years of progressively responsible experience in building and grounds maintenance.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

21 years or older.

Valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years.

Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

  • Good oral communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and interpret instructional manuals containing schematic designs.
  • Ability to read a ruler and blue print schematics.
  • Ability to use a wide variety of hand tools and repair equipment.
  • Excellent understanding of construction, design, and repair of a wide variety of equipment including HVAC systems and mechanized garage equipment.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
  • Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
