Primary Accountabilities- Operate, set-up, and trouble shoot machine(s) and department equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine specifications.
- Hang, paint and spray paint components according to design requirements.
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications.
- Complete accurate paperwork per workstation in a timely manner.
- Package and assemble completed products timely and accurately for transport to the customer.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and ensure a clean and safe work area.
- Apply all safety, quality, and other plant processes and procedures to the products.
- Keep work area safe and clean (5S
- Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) - Responsible for quality workmanship that meets and or exceeds customer expectations.
- Other responsibilities as assigned and directed by supervisor/lead
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
In terms of a normal workday:
Continuously (up to 100%), Frequently (up to 66%), Occasionally (up to 33%).
- Continuously standing or walking for 10-hour shift.
- Frequently bend, twist, stoop to remove materials and lift to work area.
- Frequently load parts into work area and packaging without damaging products.
- Frequently push/pull
- Frequently lift up to 25 lbs.
- Occasionally squat or kneel.
- Occasionally sitting
- Ability to read blueprints and setup instructions
- Proficiency in the use of appropriate measuring instruments (tape measure, dial calipers, pi tape)
- Proficiency in shop math (fractions, decimals, metric)
