Substitute Educator; Arcadia

Overview

Right At School provides safe, fun, and meaningful extended-day enrichment programs for students. Our after-school, before-school, and break camp programs support learning, growth, and a positive, kid-friendly environment. Pay range: $19-$22/hour (dependent on education & experience).

Schedule:

ON CALL, typically 2pm-6pm, Monday–Friday.

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, and document attendance, incidents, and other observations
• Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school-day learning in a meaningful way
• Use coursework training and in-person training to model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain safety, well-being, and attention of all children; support homework completion, lead fitness activities, and guide children at play
• Maintain excellent communication with children, parents, staff, and school personnel
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to ensure safety and engagement of all children
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13
• College credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education, or a related field (preferred but not required)
• Ability to lift 25 lbs
• Drive to inspire a love of learning and commitment to healthy living
• Ability to meet state-specific requirements: LIVE Scan fingerprint, FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter training, Health Certificate with negative TB Test
