Hours: 8.30am – 5pm Monday – Friday, additional hours including weekend on-call as required

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Customer Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering excellence across NPD, packaging, and customer-led projects. You will work collaboratively across internal teams, growers, suppliers, and commercial partners to ensure we consistently exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

New Product Development & Packaging

  • Support the achievement of customer objectives across NPD, packaging, and technical projects.
  • Implement and assist with NPD activity, including new packaging, product development and shelf-life trials.
  • Report NPD outcomes and ensure the wider business is kept up to date.

Technical Documentation & Compliance

  • Create, review, issue, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Manage the code sheet process.
  • Participate in internal audits in a timely manner.

Artwork, Labelling & Data Management

  • Manage customer artwork approval processes, including timely signoff and first print-run checks for packhouses.
  • Support commercial and technical label databases to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain organised, up‑to‑date files of artwork and customer templates.
  • Develop and maintain effective customer relationships, positioning Angus as the partner of choice for insight, innovation, and technical expertise.
  • Facilitate benchmarking sessions with trial sites, sourcing teams, and packhouses.
  • Coordinate regular retailer benchmarking to support wider market understanding.
  • Drive the technical aspects of customer projects internally and in collaboration with stakeholders.

Team & Business Contribution

  • Work collaboratively with growers, procurement, suppliers, commercial teams, and packhouses.
  • Actively contribute to the delivery of the technical team vision and company strategy.
  • Participate in performance management processes, achieving SMART objectives and personal development goals.
  • Support and engage in Next Level Angus work streams.
  • Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role.
