Overview
Care Assistant at HC-One. Value kindness in Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care. You will support residents as unique individuals with their own stories, delivering compassionate care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
As part of the team, you may be involved in long-term, convalescence, respite or palliative care. Our focus is on providing the highest quality service at all times, while helping residents maintain dignity and independence.
Responsibilities- Assist residents with personal care activities (washing, personal hygiene, dressing) and with meals.
- Support physical, emotional, and social well-being; participate in general activities within the care home.
- Help residents with limited mobility to use aids and provide emotional support to those who are distressed or confused.
- Deliver care with the resident’s well-being as the top priority, including end-of-life care when appropriate.
- Adhere to safeguarding policies: recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and know how to report concerns; attend safeguarding training relevant to the role.
- Seek appropriate guidance and escalate concerns if necessary.
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship or time-limited visa can be offered).
- Willingness to undertake safeguarding training and related development.
- Comfort with technology and openness to learning digital care planning as it is implemented.
- Commitment to personal and professional development; participate in clear career pathways and continuous professional development.
