What you'll be doing as a Carpenter Assistant:

• Assisting the lead carpenter with a wide range of carpentry tasks, from blueprint interpretation to final installation
• Cutting, shaping, and assembling wooden parts with precision to bring designs to life
• Ensuring a clean, organized, and safe work environment for maximum efficiency and safety
• Operating power tools and carpentry equipment with skill and care to complete high-quality work
• Handling and storing materials properly to prevent damage and maintain an organized workspace
• Collaborating with the team to meet project deadlines and deliver top-tier results
• Continuously learning new techniques and improving carpentry skills to take on more complex tasks
• Contributing to project planning and problem-solving to streamline operations and enhance outcomes

What you'll bring to the table as a Carpenter Assistant:

• Solid understanding of carpentry techniques, tools, and material
• Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform labor-intensive tasks for extended periods
• Proficient in interpreting technical documents, blueprints, and detailed construction drawings

Physical Requirements:

The Carpenter Assistant position at Lowney's Landscaping involves a variety of physically demanding tasks. The ideal candidate should be able to meet the following physical demands:

• The ability to lift, carry, and move materials such as wood, tools, and carpentry equipment, often up to 50 pounds or more.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching to measure, cut, and assemble materials at various heights and angles.
• Standing and walking for extended periods during construction and carpentry work.
• Manual dexterity and coordination to handle small tools, power equipment, and other carpentry tools with precision and safety.
• Ability to operate power tools and heavy machinery, such as saws, drills, and sanders, with proper training and adherence to safety protocols.
• Working in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain, when performing outdoor carpentry tasks or on-site installations.
• Repetitive motions, such as cutting, sanding, and assembling parts, for extended periods.
• Ability to work in tight or confined spaces and navigate around obstacles on job sites.
• Climbing and balancing to work at elevated heights or ladders when assisting with installations or adjustments.
• Physical stamina and endurance to handle long workdays that involve manual labor and detailed work to meet deadlines.
