Overview

The Lead Event Specialist is responsible for completing in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations, acquiring and maintaining product knowledge, and serving, demonstrating, intercepting consumers and selling products in a professional manner. They manage event execution equipment, maintain a professional appearance, and support the event program when the supervisor is absent.

Description

Pay rate: $15.50 per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Management and maintenance of the equipment and supplies used for events to ensure they are clean and secured in the agreed upon area of the backroom.
  • When Supervisor is absent, communicate with store management about the upcoming events and the execution of past events in their store.
  • Act as the point person for all events in the store, assisting other Event Specialists with event kits, materials, and tools as needed.
  • Assist Supervisor by providing leadership and knowledge to the team.
  • Gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
  • Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner.
  • Perform all job responsibilities assigned to the demo program.
  • Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
  • Prepare and serve food samples in compliance with food safety guidelines.
  • Use small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives to prepare food samples.
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
  • Maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
  • Set up and prepare Event Table for execution.
  • Complete all work assigned.
  • Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
  • Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.
  • Complete expense reports as per Company Policy.
  • Submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
  • Take digital photos of Perfect Table Setup to document success stories for clients.
  • Responsible for reporting all employment‑related injuries to the direct supervisor promptly.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in using a personal computer and mobile device with applications and internal systems.
  • Food Safety Professional Certification or local food handlers permit, if required.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, talk, hear, read instructions, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, lift up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart, and prepare foods using raw products and cooking utensils.
  • English competency; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands

Retail store environment with limited travel. The role involves standing, walking, lifting, handling food, using cleaning supplies, and operating small kitchen appliances. The employee must maintain a professional appearance and proper grooming.
