The Quality Control Electrician is responsible for delivery of quality control services including coordination and implementation of the Quality Control Plan, manufacturing quality auditing, on-site coaching, and training to enhance job site performance to foster a culture of quality across the organization.
Minimum Requirements- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience: 5+ years of electrical experience and/or quality experience
- Travel: 0-10% based on company need
- Work Schedule: Between the hours of 6 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. Ability to work a flexible schedule is necessary. May vary based on customer demands and can include, but is not limited to: nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Conducts Quality inspections for layout conduit systems, various lighting systems, and basic control systems and feeders.
- Conducts Quality inspections of installation of manufactured products.
- Identify potential quality issues from review of construction documents (Drawings, Submittals, Specs, etc).
- Analyze startup/commissioning schedule.
- Analyze upcoming tasks and anticipates equipment installation standards, checklist procedures and training.
- Demonstrate the ability to complete an overall Quality inspection for projects of limited scope and size.
- Lead small crews (2-5 electricians). Perform safety checks on job sites and maintain compliance with company safety policies, LOTO procedures, OSHA and customer-specific safety standards.
- Demonstrate excellent customer relations through effective problem-solving techniques.
- Participate in cross-functional teams internally and externally to continually develop and refine organizational processes related to job site quality and commissioning.
- Provide valid statistical information and applicable analyses to the commissioning foreman regarding on-site quality, commissioning, and startup procedures/schedule.
- Provide guidance to employees, project supervisors, and management on matters concerning on-site quality and commissioning.
- Conduct on-site coaching and development of employees related to audits and/or to assist with novel work or jobs in crisis.
- Perform Project Expectations Review with project leadership and provide feedback and recommended corrective actions to Project Managers, Work Crew members and key management personnel.
- Plan for, complete, and implement assignments and responsibilities in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate an acceptance of the company culture (adhering to company values) and an adoption of professional standards.
- Demonstrate approachability and the ability to collaborate with others and effectively influence.
- Develop relationships with leaders, direct reports, and others to facilitate open dialogue and trust.
- Define work to be done; clearly communicate vision, objectives, and tasks; delegate tasks; measure and monitor the work of direct reports and teams; coach and motivate to remove barriers to success and provide necessary resources.
- Assist in data collection for Short Circuit Arc Flash Studies.
- Promote 5S manufacturing when working through production quality improvements.
- Participate in process improvements and drive efficiencies into the quality process.
- Actively participate in Faith’s hiring referral and mentoring program, as appropriate.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
