Role DescriptionGuided by insights from over 800 community members and a new strategic plan, Fox Valley Literacy is focused on strengthening and expanding programs through data-driven decision‑making, growing partnerships, and increasing sustainability. The Ameri Corps VISTA member will build the organization’s capacity to help more adults gain the reading, communication, digital, health, and financial literacy skills needed to succeed at work and in life, thereby alleviating poverty for adults today and in the future.
TheVISTA will
- Develop systems to track and evaluate program outcomes
- Create a network of community partners to support collaborative program delivery
- Refine program goals and performance targets aligned with the strategic plan
- Research and engage potential community partners—such as schools, employers, and health organizations—to co‑develop programs and formalize collaborations through agreements and shared initiatives
- Design and implement a program sponsorship system to increase corporate, foundation, and individual investment in literacy programs
Through these efforts, the member will build networks, tools, and processes that improve program evaluation, expand community collaboration, and strengthen long‑term organizational sustainability.
