Web- Kiosk Developer

Talimer’s client, a builder of condominium style homes within planned active adult HOA communities, is seeking an experienced developer to design and implement a standalone showroom kiosk application for use within our clubhouse. The kiosk will integrate directly with their existing Word Press-based website and dynamically pull project-specific media and materials.

They already work with a company that manages major website updates, and internal team members regularly update options, documents, renderings, and other content. Therefore, they are not seeking ongoing website management. Instead, they are looking for a developer to properly architect and set up the kiosk application so that all future content updates can be made in one place — their existing website.

The goal is to eliminate duplicate maintenance while providing a streamlined, location-specific user experience in the showroom.

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Contract

Location: Hybrid with occasional meetings in Appleton and Green Bay, WI

Compensation: Commensurate with experience

• Design and develop a standalone kiosk “app” that integrates directly with their existing Word Press website
• Create a clean, project-specific main menu tailored to the community where the kiosk is located
• Enable both self-guided buyer tours and salesperson-led presentations
• Ensure intuitive navigation with consistent return-to-main-menu functionality
• Configure the kiosk to dynamically pull content from Word Press to avoid maintaining two separate platforms
• Structure the solution so routine updates (documents, renderings, options, media) only need to be made on the website
• Provide simple controls for occasional menu/button updates if needed
• Allow limited showroom-only content that does not interfere with website structure
• Coordinate with their current website management company as needed for compatibility

Required:

• Strong experience developing web-based applications or kiosk interfaces
• Demonstrated experience working with Word Press CMS, including dynamic content integration
• Understanding of APIs, custom post types, or headless Word Press implementations
• Experience building scalable solutions that require minimal long-term maintenance
• UI/UX expertise focused on clean, guided navigation

• Can architect a clean, efficient solution that avoids duplicated effort
• Understands how to leverage Word Press as a single source of truth
• Builds systems that are simple for non-developers to maintain
• Has experience with interactive sales, real estate, or presentation environments
