Cloud Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellent communication, customer service, analytical thinking, mentoring, and problem‑solving skills.
• Take a proactive approach to identifying issues, improvement opportunities, and system performance bottlenecks.
• Work with traditional infrastructure platforms, including hypervisors, SAN, and NAS technologies.
• Administer Windows operating systems and participate in scheduled off‑hours maintenance and on‑call rotations.
• Apply working knowledge of the ITIL framework for service management best practices.
• Provide proven experience deploying, configuring, and managing resources in Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
• Exhibit hands‑on expertise with public cloud technologies including IaaS (compute, networking, security, IAM, storage) and PaaS (gateway services, databases, application services).
• Utilize Dev Ops and IaC tools such as Azure Dev Ops, ARM templates, and Terraform for automation and infrastructure provisioning.
• Maintain a strong understanding of cloud security, governance, and cost‑management best practices.
• Preferred:
  Knowledge of Linux operating systems.

  Additional hands‑on experience with Azure and/or GCP beyond the required baseline.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of overall IT experience, including 3+ years working with public cloud platforms.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Appleton, WI.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
