PositionAdult Residential Support Professional – Eastwood (8 bed Community Based Residential Facility, CBRF). We work with individuals experiencing crises and provide 24-hour support to help residents navigate the recovery process. The facility is modeled to be a warm, in-home setting within a residential community.
This is a full-time, benefit-eligible, 2nd shift opportunity (2pm-10pm) with every other weekend required.
Responsibilities- Under supervision, care for, provide services to, and support residents in Mental Health Residential/Crisis facilities (Severe and Persistent Mental Illness or Crisis).
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and companionship to help residents navigate the residential treatment process.
- Support, interact with, monitor residents within policies and procedures; provide positive role modeling.
- Record observations of residents’ actions and behaviors; maintain records and reports as required.
- Perform general housekeeping and cleaning duties; organize and distribute clothing, bedding, and supplies as needed.
- Provide medication monitoring or administration as outlined in program policies.
- Share information about client status with external partners within confidentiality guidelines.
- Identify emergencies or crises and respond appropriately.
- Maintain awareness of the clinical treatment plan and support residents in achieving goals.
- Work independently and problem solve efficiently; attend staff meetings and training as required.
- Maintain confidential client information and records.
- Assist with meal preparation, life skills, grocery shopping, and transportation as needed.
- May collect urine specimens for urinalysis, administer breathalyzer tests, and provide educational group activities within program parameters.
- May administer basic first aid; perform other duties as required.
- Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligibility for employees of non-profit agencies; loan forgiveness after 10 years of qualifying payments under income-driven plans.

Education and/or
Experience:
A High School Diploma or GED is required. Related experience or credits toward a bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, psychology, or similar majors may be required based on contract requirements. Previous related work experience is preferred. Strong reading, writing, math, problem-solving abilities, and professional boundaries are essential. Ability to work as part of a team with patience, self-control, and flexibility.
Certification/Licenses/Registrations: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; motor vehicle check with satisfactory driving record per LSS policy; ability to meet auto insurance requirements. DHS 83 Fire Safety/First Aid and related procedures training preferred but may be obtained after hire (required after hire).

Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats.
Computers/Technology: Basic computer skills to access timecards, email, HRIS, EHR systems, and online training.
Physical Demands/Work EnvironmentThe role requires typical physical activity including standing, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, stairs, and walking. Work occurs in a community-based residential environment with potential outdoor exposure. Seasonal outdoor tasks may include snow shoveling and yard work. Noise level is usually moderate. Overnight travel is not anticipated.
