Position: SENIOR CREDIT ANALYST

We currently have a career opportunity for a full-time Senior Credit Analyst based out of our Calumet office in Appleton! After initial onboarding onsite, this position could have the opportunity for hybrid (4 days onsite/week, 1 remote) work consideration.

The Senior Credit Analyst is responsible for assessing the creditworthiness and financial stability of commercial members. This involves analyzing a variety of financial data to evaluate the risk associated with extending credit or lending money to businesses, playing a crucial role in helping the organization make informed decisions regarding credit approvals and loan recommendations. The Senior Credit Analyst role requires a combination of financial expertise, critical thinking skills, and a deep understanding of commercial lending practices to effectively evaluate credit risk and support sound decision‑making within the organization.

The

primary responsibilities of the Senior Credit Analyst role include but are not limited to:
  • Promoting and upholding the Fox Purpose, Mission, Vision, and Values
  • Analyzing financial statements:
    Reviewing and analyzing financial statements, income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other financial data provided by commercial members to assess their financial health and creditworthiness
  • Conducting risk assessments:
    Evaluating the credit risk of commercial members by assessing factors such as industry trends, market conditions, business performance, and management strength
  • Preparing credit proposals:
    Compiling detailed credit proposals outlining the findings of the credit analysis, including recommended credit limits, terms, and conditions
  • Performing industry research:
    Staying informed about industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes to assess how they may impact the credit risk of commercial members
  • Collaborating with Loan Officers:
    Working closely with Loan Officer and other stakeholders to gather additional information and provide recommendations on credit decisions
  • Monitoring credit portfolios:
    Monitoring the performance of existing credit accounts, identifying potential risks, and recommending appropriate actions to mitigate credit losses
  • Ensuring compliance:
    Ensuring that all credit decisions comply with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk management guidelines
  • Communicating:
    Effectively communicating complex financial information and credit recommendations to decision‑makers within the organization
Candidates for the Senior Credit Analyst position should possess:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
  • Extensive experience in commercial credit analysis, preferably in a financial institution
  • Knowledge of commercial lending practices, credit risk assessment, and financial statement analysis
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software as well as Microsoft Excel
