Base pay range

$17.00/hr - $24.00/hr

Position Summary

As a Cake Decorator you will drive member service in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service; maintain inventory levels and control shrinkage.
  • Plan bakery production ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of bakery decorative designs following recipe measurement instructions; work a variety of products for example decorating bags, tips, nozzles to create decorative flowers and lettering on bakery items.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance and inventory management; operate, maintain and sanitize equipment and demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution.
  • Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience and elevate associate engagement utilizing handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training and product quality.
  • Drive performance of the bakery area ensuring quality and date control standards; eliminate waste; prepare for seasonal events that impact the bakery volume such as holidays, graduations and family events; identify member needs; assist members with purchasing decisions and resolve member issues and concerns.
  • Act as a brand advocate by valuing the members’ experience in bakery and modeling high quality service and products; interact with associates to understand roadblocks; assist in training, developing, influencing and inspiring them for working in a style that is respectful, supportive and team‑oriented.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans using the Open door policy and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers and other business partners; identify priorities, deadlines and expectations; carry out tasks; communicate progress and information; determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities and adapt to and learn from change, difficulties and feedback.
  • Respect the individual by embracing differences in people, cultures, ideas and experiences; create a workplace where associates feel seen, supported and connected through a culture of belonging; create opportunities for all associates to thrive and perform; help to attract the best talent.
