Operations Specialist

As an Operations Specialist, you will be expected to play an integral role on the Technical Services team. Duties are anticipated to include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Work with project sites to maintain healthy wastewater treatment systems that maintain compliance with wastewater permits
• Work with internal and external resources to complete project scopes on time and on budget
• Review and provide comments on Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) process operation data
• Diagnose operating problems and perform necessary corrective actions
• Independently visit WWTPs to provide necessary assistance
• Provide relief operator support
• Create and manage client operations logs
• Perform bench testing of wastewater samples
• Generate standard operating procedures, startup plans, preventive maintenance & lubrication lists
• Provide onsite training to operators at client sites
• Contact vendors for quotes for equipment or services
• Create internal purchase requests
• Conduct pilot studies, as needed
• Provide onsite support at client sites in emergency situations
• Other duties as assigned

• Remote position ideally based out of the Eau Clair, WI area or other location in Wisconsin
• This position anticipates travel up to 50% of the time or as business needs require
• 3+ years in wastewater operations, or commissioning & start-up of wastewater equipment
• Completion of an Associate or higher degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Proficient experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Basic understanding of chemical, biological, and environmental science
• Ability to read P&IDs, controls narratives, and O&M manuals

• 3+ years of business travel experience
• 3+ years of developing technical documentation, reports, and spreadsheets
• Within a two-hour drive of a major airport
