Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical or Chemical Engineer with 5–10 years of experience in engineering design, preferably in pulp and paper technologies, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Paper Science, or Mechanical Engineering. The ideal candidate will perform conceptual and detailed designs, solve complex engineering challenges, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients, support field construction efforts, review design quality, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to proposals, budgets, and project schedules, bringing a proactive, self‑motivated approach from concept through execution.
Typicaltask breakdown
- Perform conceptual and detailed designs for Pulp and Paper Technologies
- Use best practices and industry knowledge to solve complex engineering problems
- Interface with other disciplines, project management, and the client to provide fully‑coordinated projects
- Support field construction efforts, including reviewing submittals, responding to questions from clients and contractors, and performing field walks.
- Perform quality reviews on designs performed by others
- Mentor junior engineers on basic engineering applications and principals
- Participate in the development of proposals, budgets, and schedules for process‑specific work
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Paper Science, or Mechanical Engineering
- At least 10 years of experience in engineering design is preferred
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in engineering design as a facilities/plant engineer or as a consulting engineer
