Electrical Designer
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled electrical designer to join our team in designing and controlling machines for the paper industry. The role involves utilizing computer-aided design equipment and related software to create and manage electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in electrical engineering, compliance review, and documentation preparation.
Responsibilities- Utilize computer-aided design equipment and software to design and control machines for the paper industry, including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Review product designs to ensure compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer specifications.
- Develop and prepare drawings, documentation, part records, bills of material, and instruction manuals for orders.
- Coordinate engineering and related issues with customers and internal teams, including sales, product management, application engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality groups, to maintain order schedules and budgets.
- Travel to sub‑supplier locations for equipment testing and inspection as required.
- Perform automation and controls engineering design, focusing on reliability, safety, and cost‑effectiveness, and conduct risk assessments.
- Assist in developing new design standards and engineering processes.
- Support automation engineers in their tasks.
- Proficiency in electrical design and AutoCAD Electrical.
- 2‑year degree in a relevant field.
- 3–5 years of experience in electrical engineering.
Skills & Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Electromechanical Design or equivalent.
- Experience with AutoCAD E or COMOS is preferred.
The position may require travel to sub‑supplier locations for equipment tests and inspections. Collaboration with various internal departments and external customers is essential to ensure project success. The work environment is dynamic, focusing on innovation and adherence to safety and engineering standards.
Job Type & LocationContract to Hire position based out of Appleton, WI.
Pay and BenefitsPay range: $30.00 – $35.00 /hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment. Benefits for this temporary role may include:
