Location: Appleton, WI (Hybrid)
Duration: 9 months
Travel: Up to 20% Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to support conceptual and detailed engineering design work for Pulp & Paper Technology projects. The role requires strong process design expertise, cross-discipline collaboration, and hands-on support during construction and commissioning phases. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform conceptual and detailed process engineering design for pulp and paper facilities.
  • Apply industry best practices to solve complex process engineering challenges.
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Support field construction activities, including submittal reviews, RFIs, and site walk-downs.
  • Conduct quality reviews of engineering designs prepared by others.
  • Mentor junior engineers on process engineering principles and design standards.
  • Assist with proposal development, project budgets, and schedule planning.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Paper Science.
  • Minimum 5+ years of engineering design experience as a plant/facility engineer or consulting engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of pulp and paper process systems.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of engineering design experience.
  • Experience supporting construction or commissioning activities.
  • Prior experience mentoring junior engineers.
Additional Details
  • Work Schedule:

    Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Hybrid role with occasional travel.
