The Appleton Area School District has a position available for a 1.0 FTE Middle and/or High School Social Studies Teacher at Wisconsin Connections Academy beginning on August 2026.

WCA recognizes that the traditional classroom does not meet the needs of all students and strives to embrace innovative ideas and technologies to ensure learner success in a changing world. Although students attend school from a variety of locations, WCA is committed to making each experience meaningful and successful in an environment that is most conducive to student learning.

Teachers work together with Learning Coaches (usually a parent) to combine the best in virtual education with very real connections among students, families, teachers, and the community. All teachers report daily to a physical location in Appleton.

Teachers are expected to participate in field trips, standardized testing, and travel as necessary; all applicable expenses will be reimbursed. Due to the unique setting of WCA, teachers who have not previously taught at WCA will be required to attend a day of school specific training prior to the school year beginning in August.

Certification Required
:
Broadfield Social Studies (1701) with proper grade certification
