This is a unique opportunity to practice in a community setting and be a part of a leading, nationally ranked childrens hospital with a strong academic and clinical mission.
About the Role:
- Primary clinical responsibilities at Childrens Wisconsin Appleton Clinic
- Practice partners comprised of five Ophthalmologists and five Optometrist providing a supportive and collegial team environment
- Academic engagement through participation in weekly departmental academic conference, virtual attendance of grand rounds presentation, among other opportunities available

The role is employed by the Medical College of Wisconsin and provides care at Childrens Wisconsin locations in Northeast Wisconsin. Both organizations are based in the Milwaukee area. The Medical College of Wisconsin pediatric specialty providers who work at the nationally ranked Childrens Wisconsin are members of Childrens Specialty Group, a strong group practice of more than 775 elite pediatric specialty physicians, advanced practice nurses and physician assistants.
About the Division
Our Eye Program at Children's Wisconsin proudly treats more than 12,000 children each year. Parents from Wisconsin and surrounding state trust their kids' eye health to our team of qualified ophthalmologists and optometrists. Our specialists have the most pediatric eye care experience in the region and are actively involved in clinical research studies, including national studies funded by the National Institutes of Health.
We offer children premier, comprehensive pediatric ophthalmologic, optometric and orthoptic care. Whether your child needs a routine eye exam or diagnosis and treatment for eye disease, our team of experts can readily collaborate to offer the best possible care.
Connected for Kids
This position is located in Northeast Wisconsin as part of an innovative collaboration between Childrens Wisconsin, Bellin Health and Theda Care. These top-quality health care organizations are partnering to improve the health and well-being of children and adolescents in Northeast Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan through a collaboration called Connected for Kids. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with primary and specialty care providers at these organizations to improve patient outcomes.
The connection between the organizations helps position our physicians to successfully support the needs of patients and their families.
