Expressive Studio Art Instructor

Job Description Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and creative Expressive Studio Art Instructor to join our team. This role is designed for individuals who have a passion for helping others through art. You will play a vital role in assisting kids facing emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges, using art as a therapeutic medium.

• Conduct expressive art sessions for individuals and groups.
• Tailor sessions to meet the unique needs of each client.
• Document the progress and outcomes of sessions while adhering to ethical standards.
• Collaborate with team members to provide comprehensive care.
• Adjust techniques based on the kids’ progress and feedback to ensure effective treatment.
• Stay informed about trends and developments in expressive art therapy through self-directed learning and workshops.

• Understanding and experience in art therapy techniques or a related field is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to connect with and support kids from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organizational skills for documentation and progress tracking.
• A commitment to ethical practice and sensitivity to cultural diversity.
• Open to learning and growing within the field of expressive art.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social work, or a related field is a plus.
• Experience working with children with special needs preferred.
• Strong work ethic and a positive, creative approach to problem-solving.
• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
