Responsibilities- Assessment:
Collect, prioritize, and synthesize comprehensive data; involve the patient, family, and environment; use evidence-based assessment techniques. - Implementation:
Implement the plan and perform interventions in a safe, timely, and appropriate manner; document interventions according to guidelines. - Evaluation:
Evaluate patient progress and understanding of the plan; revise diagnoses, outcomes, and plan as needed; involve patient and family as appropriate; document revisions. - Collaboration:
Work with patient, family, and others to effect change and positive outcomes. - Diagnosis:
Analyze assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses; interpret information for age, development, and culture; formulate and communicate diagnoses; document per guidelines. - Outcomes Identification:
Identify and establish realistic, measurable outcomes in collaboration with the patient and family. - Planning:
Develop an individualized plan of care with patient and family; ensure continuity of care; apply evidence-based practice considering laws and regulations. - Quality of Practice:
Seek quality improvement in nursing practice; use available data to improve outcomes. - Education:
Maintain current knowledge and participate in educational activities related to nursing practice. - Professional Practice Evaluation:
Self-evaluate against practice standards and regulatory guidelines; seek feedback from patients and colleagues. - Collegiality and Ethics:
Contribute to a positive work environment; practice ethically and advocate for patients; maintain professional boundaries. - Research:
Integrate research findings into practice. - Resource Utilization:
Consider safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice; manage resources for future accessibility. - Leadership:
Provide leadership in practice settings and participate in shared decision-making. - Environmental Health:
Practice in an environmentally safe manner and promote strategies to reduce risks. - Role Specializations:
When acting as Charge Nurse or Preceptor, coordinate unit operations and orientation respectively; support professional growth and teamwork. - Other duties as assigned.
- Required:
Associate's or Vocational degree in nursing - Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in nursing; 1 year of urgent care or emergency department experience
- Licensed Registered Nurse – MN Board of Nursing
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) or Allina in-house BLS within 30 days of hire
- Medium Work
- Lift up to 32 lbs occasionally; up to 25 lbs frequently
- 0.75 FTE (60 hours every two-week pay period)
- 6/12 combo hours; day/evening shifts
- Every other weekend; holiday hours vary; schedules repeat every two weeks
This position is a mixture of days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The employee will be scheduled at the Apple Valley location and may float to other Urgent Care locations. Availability is required for days and hours of operation at the sites.

Fri 7:45 am – 8:15 pm - Week 2:
Sat 1:45 pm – 8:15 pm;
Sun 1:45 pm – 8:15 pm;
Fri 7:45 am – 8:15 pm
Pay Range: $40.08 to $54.93 per hour. The starting rate depends on experience, education and applicable union agreements. Shift, weekend, and other differentials may apply.
