Overview
Cashier role at The Home Depot. The pay range is $20.00/hr - $21.00/hr your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Base pay range$20.00/hr - $21.00/hr
Responsibilities- Provide customers with fast, friendly, accurate and safe service at checkout and/or returns.
- Process Checkout and/or Return transactions and monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area.
- Proactively seek product knowledge to inform customers and identify selling opportunities.
- Follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink.
- Support front-end operations by expediting price checks, approving POS transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental (Head Cashier responsibilities).
- Provide first-level escalation for customer issues.
- Assist in supervision, coaching and training of other Front End Associates; participate in training of new Cashiers and use available tools to coach and develop others.
- Minimum qualification:
1+ years of Cashier experience (preferred for Head Cashier).
