Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Pre-operative and Post-operative care (Phase II) within a hospital setting. The RN will provide direct patient care in both the main facility and the outpatient surgery pavilion, with an average daily census of 30 patients and a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4.

Responsibilities:

- Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care to patients.
- Perform patient assessments and monitoring.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in Epic.
- Float between the main hospital and the outpatient surgery pavilion as needed.
- Assist with patient preparation for procedures and recovery.

Required Skills &

Certifications:

- Active Registered Nurse license.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience directly in pre-operative, post-operative, or ambulatory surgery center.
- ACLS certification.
- BLS certification.
- PALS certification.

Preferred Skills &

Certifications:

- NIH Stroke Scale certification.

Special Considerations:

- Must be flexible and able to work variable shifts.
- May need to float between the main hospital and the outpatient surgery pavilion.
- All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application and are subject to approval based on facility needs.
- Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.

Scheduling:
- Variable shifts, Monday through Friday.
- Start times can range from 05:30 to end at 20:30.
