Supervisor Sterile Processing
Providence St. Mary Medical Center, Apple Valley, CA. This position is full‑time and will work variable shifts as the supervisor overseeing the department.

Under the direction of Sterile Processing Management, the supervisor carries out the responsibilities for the overall workflow of the shift in Sterile Processing. The supervisor directs, plans, and organizes the staff and activities of the Sterile Processing department. They ensure that best practices related to decontamination, sterilization, the preparation and packaging of instruments are adhered to by staff. The supervisor utilizes key performance indicators for trending areas in need of improvement.
Required Qualifications- Coursework/Training Environmental orientation within 30 days of hire.
- National Certified Ambulatory Surgery Sterile Processing Technician – Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution or
- National Certified Endoscope Reprocessor – Healthcare Sterile Processing Association or
- National Flexible Endoscope Reprocessors – Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution or
- National Certified Healthcare Leader – Healthcare Sterile Processing Association or
- National Certified Instrument Specialist – Healthcare Sterile Processing Association or
- National Certified Registered Central Service Technician – Healthcare Sterile Processing Association or
- National Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist – Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution or
- National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician – Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution or
- National Management in Sterile Processing – Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
- 3 years experience in an acute hospital environment.
- 2 years experience in a specialty unit.
- Bachelor's Degree Master's Degree
- Specialty certification upon hire
- 2 years management experience.
