The GIS intern will assist the City of Apple Valley's Geographic Information Systems (GIS) team with data management, map production, and web application development. Additionally, the position will utilize high-accuracy GPS devices to collect and update data in the field.
Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent. Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college/university/technical program in Geography, GIS, or closely related field.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, directly, honestly, respectfully, and in a professional manner with all employees, the general public, and elected officials. Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Schedule - Monday - Friday days, 6 months maximum. See City of Apple Valley website for Additional information.
