Equipment Service Technician

Overview

Responsible for delivering, installing, servicing, and removing beverage cooling equipment for Rand Coca-Cola Beverage customers across the territory. Performs basic equipment repairs and reconditioning to ensure proper operation, appearance, and customer satisfaction. Works closely with internal teams and interacts directly with customers, requiring strong technical skills, attention to detail, professionalism, problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn new skills. Candidates must pass a background check, MVR review, and drug screening in accordance with company policy.

• Repair, service, and recondition cooling equipment, including washing, painting, applying decals, and replacing refrigeration units.
• Program cooling equipment, including pricing and package setup.
• Install credit card readers and test equipment to ensure full functionality prior to deployment.
• Deliver, install, and remove cooling equipment and/or products at customer locations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in equipment installation, maintenance, repair, or a related field.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license required.
• Ability to read and interpret job orders, wiring diagrams, and safety instructions.
• Strong math, reading, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to customer service.
• DOT medical certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Type I refrigeration certification preferred (eligible for higher starting rate) but not required, or willingness to obtain.
• Prior experience with beverage cooling equipment is a plus.

• Ability to frequently lift up to 65 pounds and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds overhead.
• Ability to push, pull, kneel, stoop, crawl, bend, climb ladders or stairs, and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and around loud machinery while wearing required PPE.
