Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Aveva PI Consultant with over 6 years of expertise in the AVEVA PI software suite. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in PI infrastructure implementation, upgrades, and PI-MES integration, along with experience in developing custom solutions and managing complex projects across diverse domains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, develop, test, and deploy real‑time data solutions using AVEVA PI and CONNECT or equivalent data hubs.
  • Perform PI infrastructure implementation, upgrades, and PI‑MES integration.
  • Conduct MES equipment assessments for integration with Aveva PI and other L2/L3 systems.
  • Develop real‑time data management system solutions and advanced analytics.
  • Configure and test PI Data Historian components, including:
    • PI AF Analytics, PI Notifications, PI Event Frames, PI Rt Reports
    • PI Interfaces (OPC DA/UA, RDBMS, PI to PI)
    • PI Adapters and connectors
  • Create PI‑based dashboards (PI Vision/Process Book).
  • Manage documentation and provide detailed end‑to‑end solution reports.
  • Collaborate with customers and stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Define roadmaps and ensure timely delivery of complex, high‑impact projects.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience with AVEVA PI software suite.
  • Hands‑on expertise in PI infrastructure implementation, upgrades, and PI‑MES integration.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, data hubs, and data lakes (CONNECT Data Services preferred).
  • Proficiency in developing custom interfaces and solutions using C# and Python
    .
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI
    .
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
Preferred Skills & Certifications
  • Knowledge of building systems and facility layouts.
  • Experience in Energy, Manufacturing, and Life Sciences domains.
  • Programming skills: C#, Python, .NET, SSIS, API/Adapter calls, SQL
    .
  • PI System accreditation/certification from OSIsoft/Aveva.
  • AWS/Azure certifications (optional).
Additional Attributes
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to learn quickly and independently.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and documentation skills.
  • Ability to take ownership of projects with minimal supervision.
Compensation

- $90,000 to $115,000 +/- and this position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans. Application will be accepted by 2/07/2026
