Responsibilities

  • Site Design & Development:
    Lead the design of site layouts, grading, drainage, stormwater management, and utility infrastructure for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
  • Project Management:
    Manage multiple land development projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Permitting & Regulatory Compliance:
    Coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies to secure necessary permits and approvals. Ensure compliance with zoning laws, environmental regulations, and municipal codes.
  • Construction Oversight:
    Work closely with contractors, surveyors, and field engineers to oversee site construction and resolve any issues.
  • Client & Stakeholder Coordination:
    Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, developers, and municipalities to ensure project success.
  • Technical Leadership & Mentorship:
    Provide guidance to junior engineers, drafters, and project teams, reviewing designs, calculations, and reports.
  • Risk Management & Problem-Solving:
    Identify and mitigate potential risks, conflicts, and challenges during project execution.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience:

    7+ years of experience in land development, site civil engineering, or infrastructure projects.
  • Licensure:
    Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or the ability to obtain it.
  • Technical

    Skills:
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Storm

      CAD, Hydro

      CAD, or similar software.
    • Strong knowledge of stormwater management, grading, and utility design.
    • Familiarity with permitting processes and land development regulations.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong leadership and project management skills.
    • Excellent communication and client relationship-building abilities.
    • Analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
