Lead Preschool Teacher

Overview

The Growing Years of Preschool is a licensed childcare center seeking Lead Teachers to support the following age groups:
Preschool.

• Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; use our parent communication app efficiently.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Be responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; maintain an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
• Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child, conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the months of November and May.
• Demonstrate physical ability to work around small children (sitting, standing, walking, running, climbing stairs).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom related to the care of the children.

• High school diploma and the ability to pass all background checks.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, or an associate’s or bachelor’s degree with at least 12 credits in early childhood education or their equivalent.

Required Shift: Monday - Friday: 9:00am - 6:00pm

Compensation: $17-$19 per hour, based on education and experience
