A middle school special education teaching opportunity is available for the  school year, serving a 6th-grade student in Apex, NC. This contract position focuses on providing specialized instruction tailored to a 12-year-old students individual educational needs. The role requires an adaptive teaching license valid in North Carolina.

• Deliver individualized special education instruction aligned with the students IEP
• Collaborate closely with a dedicated 1:1 teaching assistant to support the students academic progress and social development
• Implement adaptive teaching techniques and strategies to meet the unique learning requirements
• Monitor and document the students growth and adjust plans accordingly
• Communicate with parents and education team members to ensure continuity of services
• Maintain compliance with state regulations and educational standards for special education

• Valid North Carolina adaptive teaching license required
• Experience working with middle school students, particularly in special education settings
• Strong knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and adaptive instructional methods
• Ability to work collaboratively with support staff and educational teams
