As our business continues to expand, we are looking for a self‑starting, team player to join our Pricing team. The Pricing Analyst I is responsible for developing proposals for the OEM sales channel and service contracts/renewals directly with transit agencies. They also produce project budgets for awarded business to be used by internal teams for subsequent cost analysis. In this role, pricing analysts work closely with sales personnel to develop quotes and/or proposals and enact competitive pricing strategies based on customer need, historical data, market conditions, and internal margin/revenue targets.

Primary

Responsibilities
  • Work within RFQ deadlines to provide accurate, competitive, and profitable pricing, using MS Excel.
  • Work closely with Business Development, Operations, and Proposal Development to ensure the cost/price proposal is professional, compliant, accurate, competitive, and profitable.
  • Ensured all costs to support the deal are accurately captured and properly reflected in the financial model.
  • Organize and lead price review and approval process with management.
  • Maintained accuracy of deal financials in Sales Force CRM.
  • Maintain detailed pricing documentation files to serve as reference for future inquiries or audits.
  • Provide cost and pricing support for all phases of the business life cycle from proposal development, contract negotiations, project budgeting, cost‑price analysis and audits.
  • Work effectively under deadlines and high‑profile deliverables with minimal supervision.
  • High attention to detail & quality‑based results
Skills Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting, or relevant work experience
  • Government sector pricing experience highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
  • Familiarity with cost accounting principles
  • Exceptional critical thinking and analytical problem‑solving skills
  • Advanced level Microsoft Excel skills
  • Knowledge of computer spreadsheets and word processing programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with standard business tools such as Microsoft Outlook and Internet tools such as web‑based meeting services. Strong general computer skills. Ability to learn and use new software programs quickly
  • Strong organizational skills. Strong time management skills. Ability to meet deadlines in a complete and organized manner. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to prioritize work
  • Good interpersonal skills. Must be able to work as a member of a team and with all departments to collect the necessary information to compile pricing packages
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to effectively articulate insights and recommend actions.
  • Work well under stress and manage multiple projects at one time
  • Solve problems under time constraints
