Delaware North Gaming is hiring a part-time Line Cook to join our team at Apache Greyhound Park in Apache Junction, Arizona. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing dishes according to recipes and the chef's specifications.

What will you do?

* Taking server orders, preparing food to their specifications and delivering orders.

* Grilling, cooking and frying foods.

* Planning and managing work orders to ensure all items of an order are finished and served at the same time.

* Performing simple food preparation tasks, such as slicing up meats and vegetables.

* Ordering supplies and stocking the shelves.

* Rotating food and stamping the time and date of the food in the coolers.

* Cleaning food preparation equipment and areas, including fryers and grills.

* Bussing tables and emptying trash containers as needed.

More about you

* A high school diploma or equivalent.

* Able to multi-task and work quickly and efficiently under stressful situations.

* The ability to speak multiple languages would be an advantage, but not required.

* Strong communication, teamwork and customer service skills.

* Manual dexterity and a good sense of taste.

* Must be able to pass a T.I.P.S training course and obtain an Arizona Food Handlers Certificate.

Physical requirements

* Manual dexterity sufficient to chop, mix, and blend a variety of foods and liquids.

* Ability to carry large pans, weighing up to 50 pounds frequently; lifting more on occasion with assistance and operate kitchen equipment.

* Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.

* Exposed to variable temperatures.
