Theatre Teacher

American Leadership Academy is now accepting applications for a Theatre Teacher for the academic year for our ALA Radiance campus, located in Apache Junction, AZ. Candidates must possess, or be willing to obtain, a valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.

• Designing and constructing theatrical sets for various productions throughout the year;
• Developing and implementing the lighting design for various productions throughout the year;
• Developing and delivering Technical Theatre curriculum leading students toward mastery of essential skills and techniques;
• Instructing students on the effective, responsible, and safe use of the scene shop and theatrical spaces, including equipment and tools.
• Maintain safe and clean work and storage spaces.
• Effective and efficient organization and operation of the scene shop and theatrical spaces;
• Encourage students to engage in the design process.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree
• Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Theatre Arts, or related field
• Arizona Teaching Certificate
