Job DescriptionWe’re looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join our team in the Northern Trust, providing compassionate, high‑quality end‑of‑life care. As part of a multidisciplinary team you will support patients and their loved ones with personal care, symptom management, and emotional support. You will help with care planning, daily living activities and maintain a safe, dignified environment. This hands‑on role offers meaningful impact during the final stages of life.

:
Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 2 (aligned with AFC) £24,465 (pro‑rata) per annum + enhancements
Contract
:
Permanent, Part‑time – 16 or 32 hours per week, Night shifts

- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (e.g., NCFE, BTEC), plus functional skills in numeracy and literacy at Level 2
- At least 6 months of recent care delivery experience in a health or social care setting
- Strong communication skills and ability to hold person‑centred, empathetic conversations within a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of palliative and end‑of‑life care, including holistic care planning and symptom management
- Capability to plan, prioritise care, respond to changes in patient condition, and raise concerns appropriately
- A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
