Job Summary

In addition to the responsibilities below, this position assists the implementation of best practice models; supports patient care delivery systems, practice standards, investigations into patient/family/member concerns, collaboration with providers, allocation of resources, equipment supervision, safe environment creation, maintains clinical expertise, provides clinical supervision, and delegates tasks aligned with scope of practice. Collaborates with Nursing Clinical Practice to ensure compliance with Nursing Practice Act, The Joint Commission, and federal, state, local requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Recommends developmental opportunities, builds collaboration, solicits performance feedback, mentors and coaches to drive performance improvement, supports professional growth, implements change, fosters open dialogue, and delegates tasks as appropriate.
  • Supervises and coordinates daily activities of the team, monitors execution, ensures policies and procedures are followed, aligns efforts, resolves escalated issues, develops work plans, removes obstacles, and identifies improvement opportunities.
  • Supervises hospital administrative functions to support patient care, facilitates meetings, maintains utilization and productivity, collects and interprets data, oversees patient safety, labor relations, quality/risk management, survey readiness, and budget targets.
  • Manages care delivery operations and programs in a 24‑hour environment, supports complex work streams, supervises data collection, coordinates resources, leads multidisciplinary teams, implements emergency preparedness, coaches staff, and aligns delivery with cost, quality, and utilization standards.
  • Supervises improvements to operations and technology processes, executes strategic projects, escalates issues, monitors performance metrics, and drives integrated services across the continuum of care.
  • Ensures safe, quality, and standardized care delivery, monitors continuous improvement, ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and contributes to system design and evaluation to improve patient care.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in patient care delivery.
  • Associate’s degree in a Business, Nursing, Health Care, or a directly related field AND minimum two (2) years of experience in business operations, clinical health care, or a directly related field OR minimum three (3) years of experience in business operations, clinical health care, or a directly related field.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
  • Registered Nurse License (California) required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support required at hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in a related practice area.
