CT Technologist – Sutter Health
We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health! Sutter Delta Medical Center (SDMC) offers a sign‑on bonus up to $10,000. This full‑time, 32‑hour per week position requires you to work 4 days with varying shifts, including day, evening, night, and every other weekend.
The CT Technologist coordinates and produces quality computerized tomography (CT) studies and assists in CT‑guided procedures. The technologist must demonstrate critical thinking skills, knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy/physiology, radiation safety, venipuncture, and safe medication administration for contrast media. The technologist is responsible for safe operation of imaging equipment, accurate documentation, image transmission, and charge capture.
Patient population is diverse: neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including high‑risk and critically ill patients. The role requires clear, professional communication and adherence to age‑appropriate criteria.
Education & Certification- Graduation from a JRCERT accredited Radiologic Technologist Program prior to start date.
- CRT‑Certified Radiologic Technologist from the state of employment.
- BLS – Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider.
- RHF – Radiology Fluoroscopy within 180 days of hire, if required.
- General knowledge of diagnostic CT principles, procedures, views, and equipment, including emergency response.
- Ability to perform routine CT examinations; basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time‑management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and information systems such as RIS, LIS, EHR (EPIC), and PACS.
- Independent work style while collaborating with a team.
- Problem‑solving skills with standard solutions.
- Commitment to patient privacy (PHI).
- Build collaborative relationships with peers and providers.
