OverviewAdvance student potential—and your own—as you collaborate with teachers to work with small groups of students delivering individualized services and support. Monitor student behavior, track educational progress, communicate with parents, and reinforce learning through our proven model.
Responsibilities- Understands and implements SESI’s philosophy, policy and procedures relating to conduct, discipline, educational and attendance outcomes for students, staff and parents.
- Orders and maintains adequate school and office supplies within designated budget requirements. Ensures proper delivery and reviews charges for accuracy; notifies vendor of discrepancies and ensures corrections.
- Operates a variety of office equipment, including phone systems, printers, faxes, copies and various computer applications.
- Maintains confidentiality and privacy of personnel, business and other confidential, sensitive electronic proprietary information of Specialized Education Services and its employees and students.
- Ensures state, municipal and federal compliance in the maintenance of school records.
- Distributes school mail, using discretion in disseminating information and guarding confidential data.
- Performs receptionist duties: answers phones, greets visitors, treats them professionally, directs calls appropriately, and exercises judgment in interactions.
- Monitors employee compliance around COVID-19 regulations and training completion.
- Enters data on enrollment, attendance, behavioral incidents, and test scores as needed.
- Exhibits professional conduct with school colleagues, students and their parents in accordance with camelot education policies, procedures and work rules.
- Performs other duties as assigned based on SESI needs and business requirements.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; advanced education preferred.
- Ability to operate office equipment: phone systems, printers, faxes, copies, computers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint. - Experience working in a school setting preferred.
Starting from USD $50,000.00 per year.
Physical Requirements- Ability to run short distances, bend, kneel, and crouch promptly in response to student needs.
- Ability to liftufficient students with mobility challenges, up to 50 pounds or more.
- Skill in managing fine motor tasks: assisting students with writing, manipulating small objects or using adaptive devices.
- Ability to operate a computer or tablet for up to 8 hours daily.
- Capacity to notice and respond to non‑verbal cues from students.
- Capacity to remain calm and composed during physically and emotionally demanding situations, ensuring student safety and well‑being.
