Aspiranet, a leading California-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting children, youth, and families, is seeking a Youth Specialist to join our Family and Community Services division. In this role, you’ll provide child care aid that support family stability, early child development, and healthy parent–child relationships. By engaging families through personalized services, workshops, and community resources, you’ll help ensure children and caregivers have the tools they need to thrive.

The Child Care Aide is responsible for the care and supervision of children at the First 5 Center while parent/caregivers are participating in Center classes or workshops. Major responsibilities include providing supervision of children, engaging children in age appropriate activities, providing children snacks, greeting parents/caregivers at drop-off & pick-up times, and preparing and keeping clean the child watch area.

• Provide supervision to children whose parents or caregivers are participating in Center classes or workshops.
• Engages children in child watch in age appropriate activities.
• Prepares and provides snacks to children when indicated.
• Prepares and cleans Child Watch area before and after sessions.
• Greets parents/caregivers at pick-up and drop off times.

• Complete all required documentation in the database within established timelines.
• Maintain accurate, organized family files and instructional materials.
• Adhere to agency, funder, state, and federal confidentiality standards.

• Attend team, collaborative, community, and all-staff meetings.
• Participate in required trainings and supervision.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certification and professional boundaries.

• High School Diploma with one (1) year experience working with children/youth in a similar service.
• Bilingual Spanish; proficient in both English and Spanish.
• Must meet all state-required conditions of employment, including:
• Fingerprint and Child Abuse clearance
• TB/Health physical
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and proof of insurance
