Driver, Delivery, General Labor
Full-Time 260 days/8 hrs/day
DutiesThe Warehouse/Driver is responsible for performing all warehouse functions, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and distributing materials across district locations. This role also includes operating district vehicles for deliveries and pickups. The position requires performing physically demanding work safely and efficiently while maintaining compliance with district policies, safety regulations, and delivery schedules. Deliver daily mail and supplies to schools and departments.
Transport miscellaneous items including large packages, kitchen equipment and furniture. Load and unload trucks. Maintain delivery truck(s). Operate refrigerated truck, straight truck, box truck and/or van as applicable for deliveries. Warehouse duties including:
Fill and ship orders for individual schools and district buildings; receive freight, check in merchandise against purchase orders, complete inventory and fill stock bins. Operate district-owned vehicles in a safe manner, ensuring that all traffic laws are obeyed, and safety procedures are followed. Maintains a safe driving and working environment. Follows all district policies, procedures, dress code and management direction, including all fleet and safety guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or equivalent. Current MN Class D driver's license required. Ability to drive with an excellent driving record. Ability to operate a 26,000 lb. capacity 20+ foot straight truck; operational knowledge of lift gates. Ability to operate a forklift. Pass Federal required drug test. Ability to work in freezing temperatures (-20 degrees
F). Ability to lift a minimum of 70 lbs.; physical requirements as listed below. Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day. Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions. Must be physically working on site.
Must be able to meet Anoka-Hennepin driving insurability requirement.
Physical Requirements- Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and balance for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to handle palletized products, bulk items, and food service cases using manual and powered equipment.
- Ability to reach overhead, at waist level, and below waist level for stocking, picking, and loading tasks.
- Ability to operate district delivery vehicles, enter/exit the cab multiple times, and safely load/unload cargo.
- Ability to read and interpret inventory records, delivery manifests, labels, and route instructions.
- Ability to work in varying conditions, including refrigerated/freezer storage, unheated loading docks, outdoor areas, and during seasonal Minnesota weather.
- Ability to tolerate warehouse noise, vibration, and typical food service odors.
- Ability to use hands and fingers for handling materials, inventory devices, and delivery documentation.
- Sufficient vision and hearing (corrected or uncorrected) to safely operate vehicles, perform deliveries, and monitor warehouse activities.
Current MN Class B driver's license preferred.
Rate of Pay$21.50/ hour to $30.45/ hour based on step, plus benefits.
