Description

Must be able to work at the Farmers Market (Wednesdays) on a weekly basis May - September.
Summary of Duties

Summary of Duties:

• Assists with organizing market set up and take down.
• Provides customer service to market visitors and market vendors.
• Reports issues or concerns to the market manager in a timely manner.
• Process credit card transactions for the farmers' market nutrition programs such as SNAP, EBT, WIC, and Senior Nutrition.
• Provides weekly record keeping of incentive programs and vendor tokens.
• Assists with completion of monthly reports for reimbursement.
• Participates in applicable market management training and certifications.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Environmental Conditions:

Time is spent outdoors in varying and sometimes extreme weather conditions.
Physical Conditions:

Physically be able to sit, stand and walk outside for prolonged periods of time. Be able to lift and team lift for set up and take down of the market.

Qualifications

An equivalent combination of education and experience closely related to the duties of the position may be considered.
Required:

• Must 18 years old or older.
• Availability to work on Wednesdays, May-September.
• Lift up to 40 lbs.

Nice to Have:

• Prior customer experience.
• Knowledge of farmers markets and food systems.
